Keep your employee list current — it matters for security, tips, and labor reporting.
Adding a new employee
- Employees are created in the Revel backend (management console) with a name, a unique PIN, and a role (Server, Cashier, Manager, etc.).
- The role controls permissions — what they can void, discount, or access. Assign the least access the job needs.
- If you'd rather we handle it, send us the employee's name and role and we'll set them up, usually same day.
Removing an employee
When someone leaves, deactivate them promptly — an active PIN is an open door to voids, discounts, and the cash drawer. Send us the name and we'll deactivate their access.
PIN tips
- Every employee needs their own PIN. Shared PINs make tip reporting and accountability impossible.
- Forgotten PINs can be reset from the backend — just ask.
